The part where we stop talking.

Most of this site is us selling you something. This page is the plain version: what a session with us actually involves, start to finish.

Three things happen, and none of them are a surprise.

One — the planning call

We ask about your walls before we ask about your camera. Who is in the photographs, how old they are, and which room has the empty wall.

Two — the session

Ninety minutes, and nobody is told to smile. Toddlers get to run out the first ten minutes. Newborn sessions run longer, in a heated studio.

Three — the reveal

Two to three weeks later we put the photographs on a wall at the size they would actually be printed. Nothing is ordered until you have seen it.

We would rather say nothing than put words in a client’s mouth.

You will notice there are no quotes here. We are collecting written reviews properly, with permission, and until they exist we are not going to publish anything that reads like one. Everything on this site is us describing our own work, which is the only thing we can honestly vouch for.

If you are weighing this up and want to hear it from someone who is not paid to say it, ask at your consult — we will put you in touch with recent clients who have agreed to talk to families considering a session.

Most families spend between $1,800 and $4,500 all in.

There is no minimum spend and no obligation past the session fee. Smaller framed pieces and single portraits are priced at your reveal, once you have seen them at size.
